02:43:58<janm>hi
02:44:06<DrFrasierCrane>hi :)
02:44:11<DrFrasierCrane>4:45 AM here :D
02:45:30<DrFrasierCrane>I'm a tennis maniac
02:45:50<janm>:-) nice. I wish they'll air the semis down here
02:46:05<DrFrasierCrane>heh.. federer is destroying lopez just now
02:46:13<DrFrasierCrane>he's a faking genius of this sport
02:46:38<DrFrasierCrane>plus has nice all-black outfit for night sessions :)
02:46:49<janm>I would like to have a djokovic-federer final
02:47:04<DrFrasierCrane>yeah
02:47:28<DrFrasierCrane>btw I about patches
02:48:00<DrFrasierCrane>I'm torn between working on my branch and working on the trunk :(
02:48:12<DrFrasierCrane>I already made too many changes in my branch
02:48:29<DrFrasierCrane>and it's quite hard to merge
02:48:47<janm>you using svn or git?
02:48:50<DrFrasierCrane>btw would it be possible for you to give me some other private branch than mob?
02:48:51<DrFrasierCrane>git
02:49:15<DrFrasierCrane>but I'm a git newbie, just started today
02:49:22<DrFrasierCrane>so maybe it has some tricks
02:49:28<janm>that's cool and congrats for switching :)
02:49:41<janm>the technique is to checkout master (trunk in svn)
02:50:06<janm>then create separate branches for the different features or fixes you are going to work on
02:51:14<janm>so for example create an sqlite branch. work on sqlite branch. then merge changes back to master while keeping master in sync with my master copy, for example.
02:52:25<janm>I assume you just have one big branch with all your changes right now?
02:52:52<DrFrasierCrane>yes I already learned to separate stuff the hard way with newton :)
02:53:02<DrFrasierCrane>but I had some trouble with creating branches with git
02:53:06<DrFrasierCrane>now it's ok
02:53:31<DrFrasierCrane>I just need some practice
02:53:57<DrFrasierCrane>well in fact git is supposed to be distributed rcs
02:54:07<DrFrasierCrane>so I guess you could just pull the changes from me when I'm ready
02:54:19<DrFrasierCrane>and merge it yourself into master or into some crazy-branch
02:54:32<janm>ah. yeah, it takes a while. it is. Yes, as long as your repository is accessible somewhere I can pull from
02:55:09<janm>if it applies cleanly then great. If not then i'll probably bother you a bit more :)
02:55:54<DrFrasierCrane>I have public IP address so I guess that's enough?
02:56:36<janm>I think so.
02:57:30<DrFrasierCrane>I'm still unsure about this gobject stuff though
02:57:39<janm>tuukkah: just fixed the git repo. I pushed the wrong branch and not it's fixed
02:57:41<DrFrasierCrane>but maybe it's because I haven't used it yet :)
02:57:53<janm>*now it's fixed
02:58:16<DrFrasierCrane>importing opml?
02:58:43<janm>nah. the repo.or.cz just wasn't synced properly
02:58:53<janm>that's why it's different from svn HEAD
02:59:15<DrFrasierCrane>foh
02:59:16<DrFrasierCrane>oh
02:59:33<DrFrasierCrane>btw do you use straw on a daily basis?
03:00:13<janm>Not lately. why?
03:00:37<DrFrasierCrane>just curious
03:00:40<DrFrasierCrane>do you use any other reader then?
03:00:52<DrFrasierCrane>desktop reader
03:01:13<janm>nope. I'm not using any readers atm.
03:03:19<janm>I use some readers occassionally just to see what's happening in their space
03:03:32<janm>but that's about it.
03:07:27<janm>DrFrasierCrane: just wondering if I could take a look at the python-webkit tarball? Is it posted somewhere? thanks
03:08:30<DrFrasierCrane>ah sorry, haven't had the time today to deal with it and writing in wiki
03:08:40<DrFrasierCrane>http://dev.laptop.org/git.do - you could try browsing their git for it
03:08:44<DrFrasierCrane>or I can send it to you
03:11:38<DrFrasierCrane>found the link
03:11:38<DrFrasierCrane>http://dev.laptop.org/~danw/webkit-activity.tar.gz
03:11:55<janm>thanks. did a quick find for 'webkit' but it wasn't there.
03:12:14<DrFrasierCrane>federer through
03:12:20<DrFrasierCrane>QF with roddick lol
03:12:27<DrFrasierCrane>did you watch their last match?
03:12:42<janm>nope
03:13:05<DrFrasierCrane>roddick has like 0-16 record with fed hehe
03:13:09<DrFrasierCrane>ok I'm off to bed
03:13:11<DrFrasierCrane>5:15 AM
03:13:12<DrFrasierCrane>:D
03:13:56<janm>ok. nyt.
03:14:12<DrFrasierCrane>bye
11:07:44<tuukkah>DrFrasierCrane, sorry, the file descriptor problem seems untrivial to solve
